Lights on, lights off; in the day or late at night; in the bed or at the beach - wherever or however you do the deed, Summer Rayne Oakes gives you a first peep into her sexiest socially-conscious styles. Whether these tantalizing clothes are on or off, you'll feel oooh-so-good! Be one with nature, listen to your instincts.

Rubber, latex, sensual silks and chiffons…those are the fabrics that exude pure sex appeal. New York City-based Gaelyn & Cianfarani's (G&C) modern marvels exude an equal measure of carnal desire and environmental consciousness. The hand-wrought leather-like rubber detailing is made from recycled bicycle innertubes. The rubber and colorful latex that they use in their designs are often paired with vegan "peace" silk, soy-based materials, bamboo, linens, cottons, and chiffons. The socially-conscious G&C Design Team has rocked the fashion scene after having first showcased their label at Mercedes-Benz Fashion week in 2003. After that, the eco-design prodigies won the "2004 Compassion in Fashion" Award, the Gen Art Beefeater Bold Spirit Design Award, and have been nominated two years in a row for The Fashion Group International "Rising Star Award."

Genevieve Gaelyn and Atom Cianfarani who started the Gaelyn and Cianfarani label have been making the nice-look-naughty and the posteriors oh-so-positively tight since 2002. Ironically, however, they do design with a hardcore passion for cruelty-free, eco-friendly and recycled materials. Genevieve's experience in costume-making, corsetry, and latex matched up with Atom's skill in woodworking seemed to be an eclectic pairing, but their approach to saving the planet soulfully connected the talented duo. These conscious couturiers' heightened sensitivity to conservation and revitalization ooze through the label as much as the wearer's libido.

Rubber is undeniably the signature fabric for G&C. The recycled industrial material for their designs is collected from the NYC-based nonprofit: Recycle-A-Bicycle, which is dedicated to youth job training and environmental education. G&C also uses latex, which is another friendly alternative to leather. Though the rubber-latex combos are fetishistic fabrics, the talented tailoring that the designers skillfully exhibit in their pieces boldly brings Fetish into bed with High Fashion. Working with such unusual materials can sometimes be a labor of love, but it pays off in the end. Their unique techniques and commitment to cause makes Tantric Sex seem prosaic. The fit of the clothes, smooth rubber detailing, S&M (Sustainable and Modish, of course!) straps, and curve-defining silks and chiffons will leave anyone…well…breathless - Literally!

When asked about how people respond to their recycled-tire, no-leather or fur creations in an interview with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Gaelyn responded, "Everyone thinks it's great, even if they're completely shocked - because the rubber can really look leather-like. But they get it. They understand why we do it. We really believe in recycling and animal rights. And when you're creating with your heart, it really shows through in the work."

Provocative? Check. Proactive? Check. Sincerity? Check. Sensuality? Check. Gaelyn & Cianfarani's durable and sexy design style takes eco-consciousness to new spine-tingling heights. Its garb that is guaranteed to get you going whenever you put it on or whenever you take it off. And believe me: nothing is sexier for me than when 1.) Something feels/looks great on the skin and 2.) You do it, and do it right, the world is a much more enjoyable place…So give a F*** and save the planet G&C Style: Morning, noon and night…

(Lights on, clothes off).

Hidden Treasures:how quickly these clothes come off. Not for the faint-hearted or the prudish. G&C is Fashion's Aphrodisiac.
